Royal kombu, also known as sugarweed, is a brown seaweed and has a high calcium and magnesium content. It tastes sweeter than other types of kelp because of the high content of natural sugars. Royal kombu can be cooked with vegetables and legumes for faster cooking and better digestion, but can also be wrapped around fish, chicken or meat substitutes for baking or steaming. It can also be added to sauces, soups and stews as a seasoning.
Use: rinse with water just before cooking
Recommended dosage: up to 5 grams per day
Store at room temperature in a dry and dark place. Once opened, store in an airtight container and consume before the ‘best before’ date on the packaging.
